Two days inside the Tapajós National Forest, 650,000 hectares of primary rainforest inhabited and preserved by traditional communities. The base is Jamaraquá, a community of 30 to 40 families living from latex and seed handicrafts, native honey and ecotourism. On the first day you walk the hunting trail, the one residents actually use and where almost no group is taken. After dinner, night canoeing with a spotlight to find caiman. The second day brings four and a half hours of primary forest between medicinal plants, hardwoods and the kapok trees, ancient giants that make anyone look small. It ends with a swim in a creek clean enough to drink from at the source.
